19. Classmate Blog Critique
Critiquing Liberty's Blog
I went through a lot of my fellow classmate's blogs upon getting this week's blog assignment. I was very pleased with what I saw with everyone's work this semester, and it was honestly pretty hard to choose which blog I wanted to critique. I only wanted to choose one, though, so that I was able to give it my full attention.
So for this week's blog, I decided I would critique Liberty Henderson's blog. At first glance, I really love her font choice for her headers. It is really girly and cute but not too frilly or hard to read. It's an appropriate cursive font that's sophisticated enough. As graphic design is part of my major, I have learned a lot about fonts. Especially this semester since I am taking a class titled Typography. So I realize the importance of fonts. They make all of the difference in a design.
She seems to write very well and her personality seems to flow through really well. She also seems to use very high quality images in all of her blog posts and you can tell that she takes the time to carefully and articulately pick the images for all of her blogs.
I also noticed that she is always sure to link her sources at the bottom of her blogs. This is always very convenient so that readers can go back and see that she has sited her information and that she can be fact checked. It is very good practice to always site at least one source if not more, so I commend her on that.
Her blog also flows really well. Everything is very easy to find, and scrolling down, the layout is really nice.
Her blog can be found here if any reader wants to check it out and see for themselves.
