8. Public Records Report

Public Records in Columbia County, AR

Every state has different laws when it comes to public records. However, it seems that the most common public records include birth and death records, marriage and divorce records, criminal records, and bankruptcy reports.

Public Records
I have never really looked into public records before. Not necessarily for lack of interest; it just has never really occurred to me to look into it. It is, in a sense, kind of crazy to me that anyone can just access this type of information. I am really glad that it is open to the public, though, and I believe that it should remain public. It was interesting to me to look into this and to see just how much I am able to learn about. I am somewhat accustomed to this type of information with my dad being an attorney and the District Judge of Columbia County, so I have always have some sort of interest in the law and in crime.

This is actually down 1 person since the last time they reported this information. All of the people listed in this report have been checked in recently to the custody of the Columbia County Justice and Detention Facility on Rawhide Road in Magnolia, Arkansas. It is worth noting that all of the people listed in this report are presumed innocent until they are proven guilty in a court of law.

Kim Hall was released on Tuesday night, but she was booked because she was caught knowingly issuing worthless checks, bond $437.78.

Sean Williams was released on early Tuesday morning, but he was initially booked due to public intoxication-drinking in public and animal cruelty.

It is stated that, "Mass releases of prisoners at certain times usually, but does not always, indicate their transfer to the Arkansas Department of Corrections."
